Product Care

Your Winter House piece is designed to last a lifetime. While our jewellery is durable and crafted to the highest standards, it is still delicate and should be handled with care. Over time, each piece will naturally evolve — developing a soft patina, gentle darkening in recessed areas, and small marks of wear. These subtle changes are part of the story of fine jewellery and reflect the life it shares with you.

Handling and Storage

  • Store your jewellery in a dry, dark place when not being worn, ideally in its original box or a dedicated jewellery case.

  • Keep pieces separate to avoid tangling, scratches, or knocks.

  • Avoid exposure to chemicals such as perfumes, lotions, sunscreens, hair products, cleaning agents, and bleach, which can affect precious metals and gemstones.

When to Remove Your Jewellery

We recommend removing your jewellery during activities that may accelerate wear or tarnish, including:

  • Household chores and gardening
  • Showering or bathing
  • Swimming in pools, hot tubs, or the sea
  • Applying lotions, perfumes, or cosmetics
  • Exercising or participating in contact sports

Sterling silver is especially sensitive to salty air, chlorine, sulphur, humidity, and perspiration, so careful storage is essential to minimise tarnish.

Cleaning Your Jewellery

Regular Care: Gently polish your jewellery with a soft microfiber or polishing cloth.

Deep Cleaning: For engravings or textured areas, use warm soapy water and a soft toothbrush in light circular motions. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a clean cloth.

Avoid: Harsh chemicals, ultrasonic cleaners (unless advised), or abrasive materials that may damage the finish or stones.
